Background
I completed my PhD at the Lund Stem Cell Center, followed by postdoctoral training at Lund University and Harvard Medical School. Since 2012, I have led my research group at Lund University, where we investigate tumor–immune circuitry in hematologic malignancies to enable the development of mechanism-guided immunotherapies.
A central focus of our work is the study of transporter and receptor pathways that are accessible to therapeutic antibodies. Our discoveries have identified targets on leukemia stem and progenitor cells and have contributed to the development of antibody-based therapeutics across multiple cancer indications. To translate our findings, I co-founded two biotech companies, Cantargia (2010) and Lead Biologics (2022), while I continue to integrate discovery biology with antibody engineering, biomarker development, and preclinical efficacy studies to advance therapeutic candidates toward clinical evaluation.
